All Ivor Searle remanufactured cylinder heads undergo the same intensive remanufacturing programme, involving complete strip down and thorough cleaning.

All cylinder heads are then inspected for cracks and distortion to check their suitability for remanufacture.
All cam housings are checked and restored to specification; non-conforming parts are replaced with a new casting.
Bolt and stud threads are cleaned and any damaged threads are replaced. Valve guides are measured for wear and re-sized or replaced as necessary.
All heads are refaced to ensure the optimum surface finish specified by the engine or gasket manufacturer.
Valve seats are machined to the correct seat angle, width and depth.
Valves are measured for stem wear, head thickness, straightness, and are refaced or renewed as required.
Valve springs are measured for free height, compressed load length, squareness and renewed as required.
Cylinder heads are then assembled with new valve stem seals, valve seat seals are vacuum checked and the head is subjected to a final quality inspection and packing.

All new parts used in the process are sourced for their reliability and durability.

Ivor Searle reman cylinder heads are covered by a nationwide 12 month unlimited mileage parts and labour warranty. All cylinder heads undergo a final inspection prior to packaging and dispatch and are supplied with pre-installation guidelines and model specific instructions, if required.
